Security

New security measures were put into place as of July 1. The West Pine entrance to the library is now card access only, so visitors without SLU IDs must enter via the Lindell entrance. All visitors must have an ID  and show this ID to a Pius staff member upon entering the building, no matter what entrance is used. It is recommended that all 1818 students obtain their student IDs before visiting Pius Library.

As in any large public building, students should not leave their personal belongings unattended.  Students visiting the Library in the evening may request an escort on campus by using the Public Safety telephone in the Café Area.

SLU IDs for 1818 Students

Two or three weeks before your visit please contact Parking and Card Services to arrange for pick-up of SLU ID cards for your 1818 students if they do not already have them.

  • (314) 977-2957, DuBourg Hall, Room 33

Money may be added to them using the Billiken Bucks machine in the Library’s iCommons.
