  • Access our resources from anywhere in the world by signing in via our proxy server using your SLU Net ID and password.

What is Information Literacy?

Pius Library has a set definition of information literacy.

We follow the Association of College and Research Libraries guidelines, and use the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education as a guiding document for all of our information literacy instruction. Our learning outcomes are localized to the SLU Undergraduate Learning Outcomes, the course outcomes of the classes we work with, as well as the needs of our students.
