Search for books using the SLU Libraries Catalog.
If SLU Libraries don't have the books you need or our copy is checked out, you can request a book through MOBIUS, the statewide library network. If neither SLU nor MOBIUS have the books you need, you can request books through Interlibrary Loan.
If books are not available through SLU Libraries or MOBIUS, expand your search to the Prospector network of libraries. Click on the link at the top of the MOBIUS page to search the Prospector catalog.
The following books have ABA related content. Electronic books (eBooks0 can be accessed from your computer - if you access from off campus, you will need to enter your SLU user name and password since these are only available to SLU faculty stafs and students.
SLU Libraries uses the Library of Congress classification system. Each book has a call number which describes what the book is about and serves as a way to arrange books on the shelves. Each book also typically has 3-5 Library of Congress Subject Headings assigned to it. You can see these subject headings on the bottom of the catalog record for the book. You can search by Library of Congress Subject Heading. This is a dfferent way to search from doing a keyword search which just looks for matching words (rather than matching concepts).
Two ways to do a LCSH search
Method One: Do a keyword search, find a relevant book then note the subject headings used to describe the book. Click on a relevant subject heading and you will see a list of subject headings. Click on the heading and you will be taken to a list of books that have been assigned that subject heading.
Method Two: Open the catalog, select "subject (LC)" from the dropdown menu. Enter a known subject heading and do a direct search.
Suggested subject headings for ABA topics:
There is not a specific subject heading called Applied Behavior Analysis. Here are some suggested subject headings to use instead.
