HaPI is a database of information on measurement instruments worldwide, produced and distributed by Behavioral Measurement Database Services (BMDS). Click on this BMDS link, and then on the "HaPI Database" tab on the BMDS website's navigation bar, to view (about halfway down the screen) descriptions of the types of measurement tools referenced in the database, i.e., checklists, coding schemes/systems, indexes, interview schedules, projective techniques, questionnaires, rating scales, surveys, tasks, tests, and vignettes/scenarios. Subject headings are taken from both the APA's Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms and the National Library of Medicine's Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). HaPI is updated quarterly. The information in HaPI's 200,000+ records is abstracted from major journals in communication, medicine, nursing, psychology, public health, social work, and sociology. HaPI also covers selected instruments from library and information science and organizational behavior. BMDS may be able to provide free copies of unpublished instruments identified in database records. Availability statements can be found in relevant records.
