Scheduling a Research Visit

UPDATES SPRING 2017

The Research & Instruction Librarians at Pius Library are happy to schedule library visits for 1818 high school classes for research purposes.  Due to current staffing levels, the librarians will only be able to open the classroom for the session, and give a brief overview of troubleshooting tips. There will be no formal instruction this semester. After that, the class will be free to use the classroom computers, and may call the on-call librarian for assistance as needed.

The Library is a popular and busy place so we need to coordinate activities to avoid undue congestion. In order to minimize stress for SLU students who are preparing for their final exams in the building, we offer Library Research Visits during these times.

  • Fall Semester from the beginning of the semester until mid-November
  • Spring Semester from the second week in January until mid-April
