Getting Started with Nursing Resources

Nursing students frequently need to find journal articles for assignments and research papers. There are several ways to access journal articles online at SLU:

  1. First, check your syllabus to see if your instructor placed the article(s) on Course Reserves (ERes)

  2. If your instructor gave you the full citation to an article (title, author, date, journal name), use the E-Journal Portal to quickly get the article

  3. If you need to find several articles on a topic for a research paper, you will search for the topic in the CINAHL or PubMed databases
