Enhance your research impact and make it easier to find your publications using ORCID.

What is ORCID?

ORCID is a free, unique, persistent identifier (PID) for individuals to use as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities.

Why have an ORCID?

  • It helps distinguish your work from others with similar names

  • Follows you throughout your career

  • Certain journal publishers require authors to have one

  • Federal funders require unique identifier usage

Setting up your ORCID
