James C. Millstone Memorial Lecture

James C. Millstone

About the James C. Millstone Lecture:
The late James C. Millstone began his career at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1956 and served as an editor and former Washington correspondent for many years until his passing in 1992. The struggle for racial equality and fair administration of civil liberties was at the heart of his reporting for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. His sense of fairness and honesty, and his fearlessness and eloquence, led to his being regarded as the soul of the newsroom. This lecture is established in his memory.
