It's important to cite sources you used in your research:
• To provide credibility to your paper by showing that you've done proper research by listing the sources you used to get your information.
• To prevent plagiarism by giving credit to other researchers and acknowledging their thoughts, ideas, etc.
• To provide your reader with the information necessary to identify and access the sources you used in APA style by citing them accurately within your paper (internal citation) and via the reference list.
• A note about text generative AI: Beside the fact that what has been fed into AI programs is usually older than what you would want to use for a health based paper, it is important to note that you won’t know what the original sources used. Even if you “paraphrase” what is generated, you may be directly quoting sources and not even realizing it!
