EndNote Tips

1.  In EndNote program, go to Edit-->Preferences

2.  Pay particular attention to the preferences highlighted below.

3. Instructions for setting Find Full Text preferences and options for obtaining and attaching full text documents are under the Find Full Text Tab.

Go to Edit-->Preferences-->Sync shown below. (EndNote X5, go to Edit-->Preferences-->Transfer)

*Email Requirements - Must use your SLU email address.

**Password Requirements are as follows

• 8 or more characters long;
• contain at least one number;
• contain at least one letter; and
• contain at least one special character
• Dollar sign ( $ )
• Percent sign ( % )
• Underscore ( _ )
• Ampersand ( & )
• and other special characters ( #, *, etc.)

• A password cannot match any of the previous four passwords.

Note:  You can also create your Username and Password from within Web of Science

• When in Web of Science, click My EndNote Web near top of screen
• Register and create your username and password (password requirements listed above)

Go to Edit-->Preferences-->Sync shown below. (EndNote X5, go to Edit-->Preferences-->Transfer)
