Health Information Resources for SLU Alumni

A brief summary of SLU library resources available to Alumni, as well as medical information resources that are freely available to the public

Welcome!

Saint Louis University alumni are always welcome to come into the Medical Center Library to use our print or electronic resources.

At the present time, the Library does not offer checkout of print materials. For electronic resources (e-journals and databases), licensing restrictions imposed by publishers do not allow us to provide off-site access to students who have graduated. You may, however, come to the Library to use these resources.

If you are a health care provider, please see the tab "Resources for Health Care Providers" for information on free resources and alternative means of access to medical literature. The Library also offers information/reference services on a limited basis to alumni for patient care needs.

If you are a patient or just have a medical question, please review the free resources listed in the "Resources for Consumers/Patients" tab.

Printing / Photocopying

Guests of the Library may purchase a copying card for $2.00. Funds may be added to the card either with cash or a credit card using the Billiken Bucks machine in the Photocopy room. The default printer setting is 2-sided, and if your document has color it will default to color. Make sure to change these setting if needed. Pricing is as follows:

1-sided B&W.........10¢ per page

2-sided B&W..........8¢ per page

1-sided color.........20¢ per page

2-sided color.........15¢ per page

To decrease printing costs, you can save your documents using your personal flash/jump drive or email them to yourself.
