Federal & State Materials

1.   Cornell website http://www.law.cornell.edu  Legal Information Institute, an excellent starting point for free online research, has statutes and cases.

 

2.   Findlaw  http://findlaw.com/ owned by West/Thompson/Reuters publishing has links to District Courts, Court of Appeals, US Supreme Court Cases and       US Supreme court briefs.  Not as intuitive, need to click on for “Findlaw for Legal Professionals” at the bottom of the page or search.  Does have some           free forms.

 

3.   Washburn Law School  http://www.washlaw.edu/ is also a good starting point.  The site has many links including international materials can be found on       the page.

 

4. PlainSite, http://www.plainsite.org, is mix of free and pay/month.  Has US Supreme Opinions & Docket, Federal Statutes, US Constitution, Federal     Regulations, and other legal materials. Has California & Virginia materials.
