Citation Style Help

Most biologists use one of the citation styles documented in Scientific Style and Format: The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors and Publishers (8th ed., 2014) produced by the Council of Science Editors (formerly the Council of Biology Editors).

The print edition of this book contains more detailed citation information as well as extensive information about the publication of scientific books, journals an article. A copy is available at Pius Library (Ref T11.S386 2006).

Authors should always check the journal in which they wish to publish for specific formatting instructions.

EndNote

EndNote is available to all SLU students and faculty as an ITS software download. It's a citation manager program that helps you collect, organize, manage, and share references to articles, books, dissertations, Web pages, and more.  It can assist you in citing resources in your papers and creating bibliographies for those papers in a citation style of your choice. See EndNote Tips for more information.
