LibQUAL is a web-based survey offered by the Association of Research Libraries that helps libraries assess and improve library services, change organizational cultures, and market the library. The survey instrument measures library users' minimum, perceived, and desired levels of service quality across three dimensions:
- Affect of Service - centering on library staffing and customer service
- Information Control - centering on quality of library collections and how they are accessed
- Library as Place - centering on physical space and the library building
Since 2000, more than 1,340 libraries in 35 countries have participated.
