How to borrow articles and books

Don't worry if we don't have the full text of an article or book!

You can use ILLiad, our interlibrary loan system to place, track and download your requested items. Through ILLiad you can place requests for full text articles and book chapters in electronic format, and print books.

Helpful ILLiad Information:

Requesting an Article

You can request an article that is not available from the library.

Requested articles must be from journals not currently available at Pius Library, or not available electronically through Pius Library's electronic journals or accessible databases.

When you are entering your article citation information into the form, please make the citation is correct. Also, the PubMed ID (PMID) OR DOI
are not required but are very helpful.

Requesting a Book

Where to search for books

If you need a book that is not available you have a few options. We recommend first checking the catalog of MOBIUS (the large library consortium that we are part of) before placing a request in ILLiad.

Requesting a book in ILLiad

If the print you are looking for is not in MOBIUS, you should then submit a request using ILLiad.

FYI: You can also request a book chapter through ILLiad.
