This database includes dissertations from all over the U.S. in every discipline.The Literature review is an important part of a dissertation. Looking at dissertations in your area of study can help by giving concrete, real world examples of a literature review. Reviewing dissertations on topics close to yours can also give you a good starting point for your own literature review. You'll still need to conduct your own searching and find newer articles, but you'll start out with a nice list of articles you can use.

Google Scholar is the most comprehensive of the citation search tools, but also likely to include non-scholarly sources in those citation listings.
