Find Books in the SLU Libraries

Search for books using the Saint Louis University Libraries' Catalog

Find literary criticism using a SUBJECT search. 

1. Perform a SUBJECT search on the author's name (LAST, FIRST).
2. Click on the subject heading that ends in "CRITICISM AND INTERPRETATION". 

Example: 

Austen Jane 1775 1817 Criticism And Interpretation

Find literary criticism using a KEYWORD search.

1. Perform a KEYWORD search for a specific author or work and elements of that work you're interested in.

Example: 

Austen AND Emma AND gender

How to Get a Book

1. Search the SLU Libraries Catalog by title, author, subject, or keyword.

2. When you find a book, make note of its current status (checked out or available), library location, and call number. Pius Library location links are clickable and lead to a call number location guide

3. Go to the appropriate library and floor to retrieve your book and check it out at the library's circulation desk with your SLU ID.
